The Mipro-Cem Sbr Chemicals are white styrene butadiene co-polymer chemicals that are utilized to enhance the properties of cement screeds, renders, as well as mortars. They are also used as a priming coat or strong make base-coat in combination with construction chemicals tanking slurry. They can resist the passage of salts inside the wall as used with sulphate-resistant cement. The use of SBR chemicals improves water and abrasion resistance and also increases the toughness of cement renders and have a variety of other applications.
Synthetic rubber latex polymer dispersion, highly recommended improving cementitious mortar/screeds and adhesive mortar for acid resistant brick, vitrified tile. PURPOSE To upgrade all physical properties of cementations materials.
Suitable admix to improve all physical properties cement/sand mortar used for:
- Plastering & repair mortar
- Tile Fixing on floor & wall
- Vitrified Tile fixing in water body/Pool
- Screed & plasters
- Gunniting of OPC mortar
- Adhesion properties are improved allowing the use of thinner mortar layers.
- Abrasion resistance and resistance to chemical attacks are improved.
- Improved workability leading to higher density reduced permeability to water and higher strength.
- Reduced modulus of elasticity gives increased flexibility and greater resistance to cracking.
- Band Coat between Old and new pastier, to have proper bonding of old & new concrete plaster.
MIPROCEM has been specially developed as an admixture for cement based building materials. It is designed to improve the properties of such materials, both in the fresh and hardened states.
MIPROCEM provides polymer lattice within the cementations matrix, which confers significant improvements on the mechanical properties of mortars and concretes. Internal adhesion between binder and aggregate is increased, giving greater abrasion resistance, whilst adhesion of mortar to various substrates (such as mature concrete) is enhanced by the integral use of MIPROCEM. A premier coat of MIPROCEM or of cement slurry containing
MIPROCEM is also a useful aid to better bonding. The flexural and tensile strength of mortars and concretes are increased by 20% to 50% depending up to the dosage of MIPROCEM employed. When added to the fresh mix, MIPROCEM increases the workability and enables the water-cement ratio to be reduced for a given workability requirement. This results in strength
Normally 10 to 100% of the cement weight, depending upon the intended use. The dosage of MIPROCEM will have a slight influence on the rate of setting and hardening. Higher dosage levels will cause more pronounced retardation of the cement hydration, and if used in thin screeds they must be protected from drying out prematurely.
WHERE TO USE
MIPROCEM has a wide range of application in the construction industry including special uses as an adhesive. Common applications include durable screeds and renders tile bedding, floor repairs, sealing of cracks and construction of acid resistant floors in dairies, abattoirs, etc.
HOW TO USE
Bond Coat between old & new plaster can be prepared by mixing MIPROCEM: water: Cement as 1:4:1. MIPROCEM is best added to the concrete or mortar by diluting it first in the mixing water. This involves the use of dispersion-water mixture in the range of 1: 1 to 1: 4 when calculating the w/c ratio of the final mix; allowance should be made for the water content of MIPROCEM. MIPROCEM is compatible with all Portland cement and High Alumna Cement. For good adhesion, the substrates to which mortar screeds or coating are applied must be structurally sound, clean and dust free. Oil, grease and organic contamination should be removed mechanically. Slabs and screeds may be applied to rough concrete surfaces only, smooth surfaces should be lightly scab bled. The clean, sound surface should then be moistened with water prior to placing the modified mortar or concrete. When priming coats of grout of MIPROCEM are applied, system to be bonded should be placed while the primar is still tacky. The priming coats must be worked into the surface concerned by means of a stiff brush or broom. When coating and screeds must meet specifications requiring high flexibility, abrasion resistance and chemical resistance, the Dispersion-Water ratio may be increased up to a value of 2:1. The mechanical properties of concretes and mortars modified by the additions of MIPROCEM are superior to those of the unmodified material Mortars modified with MIPROCEM may harden more slowly than normal mortar. After laying or application, rewetting the surface after the mortar has set should prevent rapid drying out
